A suspect is still at large after a student was robbed by four individuals late last week.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday, a 22-year-old male student was walking in the 1800 block of West Kilbourn Avenue when he was approached by three male juveniles and one man, according to Department of Public Safety reports.
The suspects demanded the student's property, according to Associate Director of DPS Capt. Russ Shaw. The student told the suspects he had no money.
According to Shaw, the suspects pushed the student to the ground and began to punch and kick him.
"The student handed over his wallet and the suspects fled," Shaw said.
DPS was contacted at 11:32 a.m. and DPS officers located two juveniles and a man matching the suspect's description in the 2400 block of West Wells Street.
"One of the suspects began to run as squad cars approached him," Shaw said.
DPS stopped the suspect, who was identified as a 15-year-old male, in the 2500 block of West Wells Street.
DPS also detained two other suspects, another 15-year-old male and a 19-year-old man who is not affiliated with Marquette.
The Milwaukee Police Department was contacted.
The victim was able to positively identify one of the suspects, the 15-year-old who did not attempt to flee DPS. All three suspects were taken into custody and the identified 15-year-old was charged with robbery with use of force.
The student's wallet was not recovered on the three suspects, according to DPS.
During investigation, MPD learned the name of the fourth suspect, a 16-year-old male, Shaw said.
"A felony warrant has been issued in the 16-year-old's name," Shaw said.
The student's wallet, estimated at $30, contained two credit cards, a debit card and a driver's license, according to reports.
The student declined medical assistance for injuries sustained during the robbery.
