Ah, what I would give to be young and stupid again!

Tiffany Fisher's "viewpoint" in the Sept. 20 Tribune brought back my memories of hating Richard Nixon and blaming him for everything from Vietnam to Marquette's loss to Minnesota over Christmas vacation.

Does Ms. Fisher honestly believe that George Bush personally hates black people? Does she believe he really wants black people to die and deliberately delay rescue efforts in Louisiana to accomplish this feat?

I don't suppose the poor dead white people count in Ms. Fisher's world.

If President Bush only cared about rich white people, why is it that he has appointed more blacks to prominent positions in his administration than any president before him?

Let's face facts. President Bush didn't delay rescue efforts in Louisiana. Those were delayed by the inactions of the local government leading upto and after Hurricane Katrina. FEMA was slow to react, but President Bush doesn't run FEMA personally.

Hopefully, one day, Ms. Fisher's college education will be completed and her real life education will begin. Maybe then, she'll realize the remarks she made are racist and insensitive….much like Kanye West's.
