I'd like to call the students attention to the "MU Volunteers drive for troops" that was in the news briefs e-mail on Feb. They are collecting supplies for the troops overseas. I want all the Marquette students to were angry about the sniper fundraiser to ignore this call for support as well, as this program supports our troops, just like the sniper program.
Snipers aren't the only ones in the military with weapons who kill. It's funny, Marquette won't raise money for body armor for the troops, but they will raise money and supplies to treat the wounded ones. Why don't we outfit our troops for increased safety and chance of success from the beginning with body armor so we don't have to raise as many hats and gloves for the wounded?
