The party, dubbed "SWEAT 2005" by Ill Born co-founders and students R.J. Borja, Rob Delos Santos, John McPheters, Scott Santarromana, Terri Santarromana and Tony Varga, attracted over 400 people Saturday night to raise money for two charities, according to Delos Santos and McPheters. Ill Born was able to donate $1,300 to West End Development, a local organization that builds low-income housing, and $700 to Tsunami Relief through UNICEF.
With the recent crackdown on campus parties, some students may still be afraid to host or attend house or apartment fetes. Not the founders of Ill Born Productions, a student group on campus that recently hosted a charity party at the Best Western Hotel.
