The first game of the doubleheader was an extra-inning affair. The contest, normally seven innings, took nine to complete.
He also withstood several errors and mental lapses by his defense.
In the nightcap, the Golden Eagles had another comeback victory. Catcher Charlie Foss drove in Biese with a sacrifice fly for the game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning. Marquette closer Edd Gaus loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh before getting a come-backer for the final out.
Marquette senior Justin Munzel went 4-for-6 with three walks and six runs scored in the two games.
With the sweep, the Golden Eagles improve to 5-12 on the season. They travel to Wisconsin-Eau Claire this weekend for a Saturday doubleheader.
