The letter said the student had been approved for summer housing, but had not left his apartment by Aug. 15, as the university had ordered.
A unidentified resident of Humphrey Hall was evicted from his apartment Monday for violating his housing agreement, according to a letter sent to Humphrey residents from the Office of University Apartments and Off-Campus Student Services.
The letter said the student had been approved for summer housing, but had not left his apartment by Aug. 15, as the university had ordered.
The university tried to avoid an eviction by working with the individual, but Milwaukee County Small Claims Court ordered the individual to move out by Sept. 21, the letter said. When the resident did not leave by that date, the eviction was ordered. Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies and Eagle Movers carried out the eviction, according to the letter.
