The two police officers were both riding police motorcycles and were responding to a personal injury accident in the nearby vicinity when they crashed into each other, according to Milwaukee Police Department spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz.

Both officers were sent to an area hospital, she said. The severity of their injuries were not known immediately following the accident.
