Unfortunately, these programs (which I consider tasteless and cliche) happen to be entertaining. If you like them, good for you; to each his own. Because reality television contains “shocking” plot twists, elements of suspense and beautiful women, it continues to pull ratings. However, when it comes down to it, reality shows are just basic formulas, and producers keep plugging in different variables. When the formula draws viewers, all signs point to keeping the trash on the air.
