Boots can change the look of any outfit in a matter of seconds. This season more and more brands are getting funky and creative with their heels and designs , which is a girl’s dream come true. With all the new styles and brands, here’s a little something to help you get started.

As for stores like Urban, Forever, H&M, and DSW, thick heels, flatforms, and funky designs are popping up everywhere. If you like a shoe but don’t think you can “pull it off”, BUY THEM. It’s all about confidence, if you think you can pull them off, you’re going to do just that. The moment you start getting iffy about your cool kicks, people will notice and you won’t look as fierce as you want to. Don’t be afraid to get crazy with them. I personally am a HUGE fan of thick heels and flatforms and own a pair of Timberlands, Dr. Martens, and Clarks, so if you think a shoe is just for one sex: you’re wrong.

Booties look great with jeans (you can roll up the bottoms), dresses, leggings, pretty much anything. Just be mindful with what textures and colors you pair them with. And of course, fall means riding boots. The classic is great for night and day and look great over a pair of dark wash jeans and cardigan. I prefer dark brown boots because they tend to match with more color schemes. Whatever you’re feeling, just go for it. Don’t be nervous!

** Men: Shoes can kill an outfit. There’s nothing more attractive than a guy who knows how to dress. A nice pair of Clarks, Oxfords, Nikes, Docs, nice canvas or desert shoe, can literally rake in the points. Paired with dark wash jeans, colored paints, or khakis, and voila, you just made your outfit that much better. And for colder days, try adding a beanie to get the swoons. **
