Remember Rocket Power, Lisa Frank, Tamagotchi, Super Soakers, and Furbies?
Throwback thursday is turning into throwback monday thru friday. 90’s trends are coming back in full force– and it’s no surprise. Fashion is just like history, it repeats itself (with some minor adjustments). With crazy prints, edgy cuts, and jelly shoes, stores are making it easy to go vintage.
There are so many great things with the trend. For one, whenever I see a 90’s article, I feel really nostalgic and think about being a kid running around with no worries. Another plus is that they work with so many different occasions and can be paired up to spice up a basic outfit. The adaptable trend is fun, easy, and comfy so why not?
If you don’t want to spend extra money on what can be a temporary fad (even though I think it’s here for a while), you can get pretty creative with your own items and have a DYI day. Cut up some old tees, grab some paint (and glitter) and get creative. Play around with different crazy designs, some cool sayings, and throw in a few band logos and you’re all set. And don’t forget some funky 90’s accessories!
Here are some cool items I think N’Sync would approve of:
American Apparel Juju Maxi Jelly Sandals $42
Notion Cross Over Mid Sandals $156
Joker Crop Top (From UO’s Vintage Collection) $108 (the glasses work too!)
Sunflower Crop Top $38 (Perfect for Summer!)
Riot Crop Top $28 (A great basic for any wardrobe!)
