The skort – the love child of a skirt and a pair of shorts. I haven’t seen or worn a skort since I was probably in the fifth grade but there’s been this sudden surge of skort wearing ever since Zara came out with their angular version. I can’t deny that I have been quite obsessed with the outfits that have spurned from the arrival of this skort– even to the point where I went out and bought my own pair! Here are three different ways of styling the Zara skort.
For this first look I went with a more sporty feel, pairing the skort with a a denim vest and Nike sneaker wedges. I gave it more of a modern twist with the reflective aviator sunglasses and see-through wristlet. For hair and make up I would do relaxed waves with a bold maroon or deep plum lip.
The one thing I love about the Zara skort is that it can be easily dressed up or dressed down. I went for a more dressed up look with this outfit but made it more playful by adding in this royal blue blazer to color block the skort with. The metallic pumps with the Clubmaster Ray-Bans give the outfit a more classy futuristic modern edge. For hair and makeup I would do straight down or relaxed curls with a brown smokey eye palette and a red lip.
This is last look is a look from my own closet. I love the black on black trend that seems to be going on so I paired my black Zara skort with a
black geometric print tank top. It’s loose enough to wear on a hot day even though it’s an all black outfit. I have paired it with my nike sneaker wedges and accessorized it with a
red clutch, white watch, and
reflective silverĀ aviators.
