Spring Break (although it didn’t feel like Spring in Milwaukee) has passed, and the month of April is finally upon us. Just walk into any store nowadays and you’ll see all the fresh, new attire for the Spring season. Another thing I’ve realized is that the weather is slowly, SLOWLY, starting to warm up. In the meantime, I’ve been scoping out some fresh new looks for Spring, and pastels are in the air.
With Easter behind us, it’s almost impossible not to think of Spring and all the lovely pastel colors. Incorporating the pastel palette in your look is a great way to breathe new life into your wardrobe this season. There’s something about the clean, crisp colors of lemon, pale pink, mint, and lavender that immediately make me think of this time of year. Pastel colors are stylish and flirty, but also subtle. These shades of color look great paired with whites and florals. If your style is on the edgier side, try adding some contrast to your pastel look by pairing it with something black. Pastels also look great on your nails, and there are lots of great nail polish shades out there to rock this look.
I love pastels because they are feminine and delicate. Muted shades of yellow, pink, lilac, and mint bring on a cool, minimalist vibe. The fresh, clean and crisp look of pastel colors add a soft and feminine touch to whatever you’re wearing. Whether it be a shirt, blazer, dress, or pair of shoes, take a look at my top pastel picks for this Spring and I guarantee that they won’t make you look like an Easter egg.
