Detwiler is the third Golden Eagle to be selected in the PLL draft behind assistant coach Mason Woodward, who was drafted by the Utah Archers in 2024 and Noah Richard, who was drafted in 2019 by the Philadelphia Waterdogs.
Detwiler joins on the Chaos Liam Byrnes, a former Marquette long stick midfielder and USILA second team All-American.
Marquette’s two-time captain became the second short stick defense midfielder in program history to earn USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention honors in 2025. He also led all non-faceoff specialists with 37 ground balls, earning him All-Big East second team honors.
Across 53 games in his four years with the blue & gold, he has totaled 92 ground balls, 11 shots on goal, six goals and two assists.
So far in his 2026 season, Detwiler has recorded 22 ground balls and has three shots on goal. His current nine caused turnovers are tied for 10th nationally among SSDMs.
