For 2025, the Marquette Wire Photo Staff is happy to announce the return of The Reel Marquette! Here we’ll be showcasing our staff’s favorite photos of each month, starting with January. Winter means cold temperatures and plenty of bundling up. However, it also means our basketball season is in full swing. Stay tuned for more scenes through the eyes of our photographers each month.

Jack Belmont, Photo Chief
Jack Belmont is a senior from Chicago, IL majoring in Journalism. This is his first year as the Marquette Wire Photo Chief, after serving as the Photo Editor of his high school’s newspaper. When he’s not shooting on assignment for the Marquette Tribune, Jack enjoys skateboarding and exploring new parts of Milwaukee.
Lily Wooten, Photographer
Lily is a sophomore from Chicago, IL, majoring in Digital Media. She is a photographer for the 2025-26 school year. Outside of The Wire Lily enjoys dancing, making zines and watching movies.
Owen Weis is a sophomore from Denver, Colorado. He is a photographer at the Marquette Wire. He has been a photographer for a little over 5 years and has loved every moment. His camera has allowed him to go to some of the craziest and coolest experiences in his life.
