Tis the Season for Stress

Happy Holidays!

Unfortunately, with Christmas just around the corner, this also means late night cram sessions and stressful exams coming up as well. Marquette has put together activities to help students out, so take a study break and check out some of these events!

  • Puppy Therapy: For the first time ever, these furry friends will be available in the Raynor Library entrance on Tuesday, December 4 from 4 to 6PM and Friday in the AMU from 11-1. Research has shown that pet therapy works wonders with reducing anxiety, so stop by!
  • Anxiety Reduction Programming: The Counseling Center has put together several programs including workshops, biofeedback, and resource materials. Most of these events will be available in the AMU.
  • Cram Jam: Each dining hall has a designated day when it will be open and serving brain food from 9-10PM. Here are the dates:

McCormick: Sunday, December 9

Straz:Monday, December 10

Schroeder: Tuesday, December 11

Cobeen: Wednesday, December 12

Speaking of brain food, here’s a list thatPsychology Todayrecommends:

  • blueberries
  • whole grains
  • tomatoes
  • pumpkin seeds
  • broccoli
  • nuts

Finally, here’s a list of motivational quotes to get you inspired to crack that book and start studying!
