1. Go to all of the games.
Be there. Be early. Be ready. The first step is obvious, but I’ll say it anyway, go to every game. Snow or shine, Saturday or Wednesday, be at the game. Halfway through the season, the rest of the student section can tell who has been there right up from at every game. Congrats, now you are a mainstay at the games.

2. Bring your friends with you.
Going to the game is fun, but going with a group is even better. If others go with you and see your passion for the action of the game, they will become just as into it as you are. Spreading your love and excitement for MU Basketball will get you the fan base and to keep the dream alive of becoming the best Fanatic.

3. Dress up for the games.
Don’t be satisfied to just to show up at the games in your gold Fanatic shirt. Take it a step further. Dress like a warrior or something else crazy. Remember that the costume doesn’t really have to have anything to do with Marquette. As long as it’s in blue and gold and you where it with pride, the costume will be a hit.

4. Get into the cheers.
The cheerleaders aren’t there to be the only ones cheering. They want to get the crowd involved, and you need to be that person that helps them. Get into whatever cheer they start because that gets everyone around you into it as well. And don’t think that only the cheerleaders can start a cheer. Be the voice of the student section and start that cheer that everyone is thinking of but no one wants to start. Do this, and you should reach your goal.

Follow these simple steps and before you know it, you will earn fame and popularity — sorry, but no fortune — as the best Fanatic this season.
