Marquette is the place to be lately with our unstoppable basketball team and  our tons of live music happening soon. However, with all these things to cover, the News team is sharing the air waves. Because we have not been able to update you on the news, here’s a brief calendar of not-to-be-missed events on campus and in the city this week! Don’t worry, we’ll be back soon!

Thursday, Feb. 28: Aron Ralston of 127 Hours fame will be speaking in the Varsity Theater at 7:30 pm. This event is free

Friday, March 1: “We’ve Got Game” trivia is happening in the Weasler from 9 pm – 1 am. Prizes include an LCD TV, Marquette gear, and an Apple iPad!

Friday, March 1: Spotlight MKE, ’nuff said.

Saturday, March 2: In celebration of NATIONAL MARQUETTE DAY, The Annex will host a pre-game party from 10:30 am til noon. Free food, face painting, giveaways and shuttles to the game will be available. Marquette trivia will also take place at 11 am.

Saturday, March 2: Art Milwaukee is partnering with Brady Street and over 50 local musicians to bring you the Eastside Music Tour. Tickets are $15 and the event runs from 4 pm – 10 pm.

Saturday, March 2:  The Avalancheros are a group of Marquette alums and comedians who live in the Los Angeles area. They are Danny Pudi, Pat Finn, Chris Marrs, Kevin Farley, and John Farley. They’re back on campus for a comedy show beginning at 9 pm in the AMU Ballrooms.

Sunday, March 3: Marquette Main Stage presents A Dollhouse, staring juniors Tyler Frost and Molly Edwards. Curtain is 2:30 pm and the show closes this afternoon, so don’t miss out! Upcoming shows include Urinetown! and Gathering Blue.
