Men’s basketball to open BIG EAST home slate against Georgetown

Marquette has four Saturday games on its BIG EAST home schedule.

Steve Wojciechowski and the men’s basketball team will open the home BIG EAST schedule Dec. 28 at 7:30 according to Marquette’s season ticket website. The Golden Eagles host defending national champion Villanova on Jan. 24 and will play Creighton on March 4 in the team’s senior game.

If the schedule is to be believed, fans not staying in Milwaukee over the Christmas holiday will miss the first three conference home games, Georgetown, Seton Hall and DePaul. Villanova will be the first game back.

Marquette has four Saturday games on its BIG EAST schedule, beginning with DePaul on Jan. 14.

The complete BIG EAST schedule will be announced Tuesday.

Wed. Jan. 11 vs. Seton Hall, 6 p.m.

Sat. Jan. 14 vs. DePaul, 1 p.m.

Tues. Jan. 24 vs. Villanova, 7 p.m.

Sat. Jan. 28 vs. Providence, 1 p.m.

Tues. Feb. 7 vs. Butler, 8 p.m.

Sat. Feb. 18 vs. Xavier, 7 p.m.

Tues. Feb. 21 vs. St. John’s, 6 p.m.

Sat. March 4 vs. Creighton, 1:30 p.m.
