
The university formed its next search committee to find the next Graduate School dean, according to a Monday university news brief.
The committee, named by Interim Provost Margaret Callahan, is chaired by Stephen Merrill, a mathematics, statistics and computer science professor. It plans to select the dean by the end of June.
This will be the fourth committee this year to have student representation, this time with Anthony Correro, a doctoral student in clinical psychology.
Marquette Student Government President Kyle Whelton, a senior in the College of Arts & Sciences, contributed to the provost search; Abigail Deats, a senior in the College of Engineering, is contributing to the engineering dean search; and Alexandra Dossey, a senior in the College of Business Administration, is contributing to the business dean search.
Jeanne Hossenlopp was the Graduate School dean and vice provost for research before stepping down for another position this February. She is now the university’s first vice president for research and innovation.

Anthony Correro, doctoral student in clinical psychology and Graduate Student Organization representative
Steven Goldzwig, communication studies professor
Richard Holz, dean of the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
Bob Lowe, educational policy and leadership professor
Scott Mandernack, associate dean for scholarly resources and collections in the Raynor Memorial Libraries
Kelly McShane, university trustee, Arts ’68
Maureen O’Brien, associate dean for graduate programs in the College of Nursing
Brian Schmit, biomedical engineering professor
Andrea Schneider, law professor
Bharat Srivastava, management associate professor
