Spooky Fashion Tricks and Treats

    Halloween all year ’round.

With Halloween being one of the greatest things to happen in Fall, many of us don’t want it to end. Luckily in the world of style, it doesn’t have to. There are many ways you can still incorporate a spooky, edgy look into your wardrobe. These key statement pieces can really bring out your personality and inner dark side. I love all of the themes and creations that go along with Halloween. One of the essentials, skeleton print, is probably my favorite. It’s been going strong for years and with just a little statement piece, it works.

I think the goal with this style is to take it in moderation. An accessory is probably the best way to go because it’ll be strong by its self. For example, model Anja Konstantinova has slight detail of a skeleton ring, black nails, the smoky eye and a wide brimmed black hat. It isn’t too overbearing, but you inevitably know the style she’s going for. This works perfectly for Fall.

Saint Laurent Spring RTW inspired me to love these brimmed hats. It’s very wearable and bold. The collection had a very dark, Victorian feel to it overall. The ruffle blouse definitely fits in with the theme.

I love her outfit–from the hat, cross jewelry and the Beetlejuice striped garter tights.

Also, since I’m all about makeup, I thought it’d be appropriate to show one of my favorite makeup and beauty gurus. She’s definitely into the spooky/horror style and does such cool makeup ideas.
