DPS Reports 11/02/10

Oct. 29

At 9:55 a.m.  a student-employee reported being harassed by another student-employee through e-mail.  The victim claimed the subject sent an abbrasive e-mail claiming that the victim was the reason the subject was fired from his job.

Oct. 30

A person not affiliated with Marquette acted in a disorderly manner in a business in the 1400 block of West Wells Street.  The man, 52, tried to reach into the cash register and remove cash.  DPS detained the suspect and he was taken into custody by the Milwaukee Police Department and cited with disorderly conduct and attempted theft.

At 4:22 p.m.  a person not affiliated with Marquette removed a wallet from a person in a wheelchair, in the 700 block of North 16th Street and fled the scene.  A man not affiliated with Marquette, and two students were able to detain the subject until DPS arrived. The Department of Public Safety detained the suspect, and he was taken into custody by MPD.  The wallet was recovered, and the subject was cited with theft from a person with special circumstances.

Oct. 31

A student acted in a disorderly manner in Mashuda Hall and refused to cooperate with DPS after it was found that she had violated the visitation policy.
