At 8:30 p.m., five Milwaukee Police Department squad cars were dispatched to the 1900 block of State Street to respond to a 911 call, which reported a man carrying a gun, according to MPD Sgt. Gregg Duran. Students said they heard several gun shots, but MPD could not locate any suspects. A fire truck was also dispatched shortly afterward nearby, but in an unrelated incident.
