March 6

At 3:50 a.m., a female student reported that her unsecured, unattended property was removed from a fraternity house in the 800 block of North 16th Street. The student reported she had checked her coat at a coat check provided at the party. When she later went to retrieve her coat, it could not be located. The Lands’ End brand coat also contained the student’s wallet, MUID, bus pass and $5. Estimated loss is valued at $295. Milwaukee Police Department assistance was declined.

At 4:13 a.m., a student reported that his unsecured, unattended property was removed from a fraternity house in the 800 block of North 16th Street. The student said he went to a party in the house and hung his coat up in a closet inside the residence. The coat was later missing when he went to retrieve it. The North Face brand coat contained an iPod Touch, an iPod case, and a T-shirt. The student reported the loss occurred between March 5 at 9 p.m. and March 6 at 4 a.m. Estimated loss is valued at $500. MPD assistance was declined.

March 7

At 1:12 a.m., a student reported that his unsecured, attended property was removed from McCormick Hall. The student reported an unknown person entered his room and removed his wallet from his desk while he was sleeping. The wallet contained a driver’s license, various other cards and $30 in cash. Loss is estimated at $100. MPD assistance was declined.

At 1:45 a.m., a student acted in a disorderly manner and was in possession of a false ID in McCormick Hall. When Department of Public Safety officers responded to the call, the student was loud and unresponsive to officers. The student safety officer at the desk stated while he was checking in students, the student in question mistakenly presented his falsified ID card. When confronted, the student began throwing items around the lobby and shouting profanities at the officers. The student admitted to using the ID to purchase alcoholic beverages. The ID was confiscated.
