Feb. 26

At 4:38 p.m., a student employee reported that an unknown person removed her unsecured, unattended property from Schroeder Complex. The student said she last saw her brown Coach clutch at 3 p.m. in a room inside the building. While she was canceling her credit and debit cards, she was informed that her debit card had been used at a CITGO gas station. Property lost inside the clutch includes $1, four credit cards and personal identification. The estimated loss is valued at $301. The Milwaukee Police Department will be contacted.

Feb. 27

At 3:02 a.m., officers were dispatched after an unknown person vandalized university property in McCormick Hall. An exit sign on the west wing of the third floor had been smashed and was hanging off the wall. Facilities Services was contacted. The estimated damage is valued at $200.

At 9:08 p.m., a student’s friend was reported to be in possession of alcohol in McCormick Hall. While a Department of Public Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol, he noticed a suspect place a backpack on his back and cover it with his coat. A female student tried to check the suspect in as a visitor. The officer asked to see the contents of the backpack and found beer and wine inside. The alcohol was confiscated and the guest was informed of the university alcohol policy.

Feb. 28

At 12:47 a.m., officers were dispatched to Cobeen Hall in response to an alcohol violation. An officer working at the front desk witnessed a student wearing a formal dress and a backpack that appeared to be full. When the officer asked to look inside the backpack, the student complied and the officer found two bottles of hard liquor. The officer disposed of the alcohol.
