DPS Reports 10/08

Oct. 5

At 8:16 p.m., DPS was dispatched to Valley Fields after three male students reported their unsecured, unattended property had been stolen. The students left their property on a bench on the east side of the field and left to play football. When they returned, the property was missing. The total loss is estimated at $475.

Oct. 6

At 10:28 p.m., DPS was dispatched to O’Donnell Hall after staff members reported the strong scent of marijuana coming from a room on the third floor. When DPS knocked on the door of the room, a student answered and denied any drug use. Upon further conversation, the student admitted to having smoked marijuana and surrendered a small plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance. DPS also confiscated a marijuana smoking device. The student was taken into Milwaukee Police Department custody, cited and released.

At 11:06 p.m., DPS was dispatched to O’Donnell Hall after the on-duty resident assistant reported the strong scent of marijuana coming from a room on the first floor. The RA told DPS he noticed a student inside the room hiding something when he walked by. DPS approached the student, who was in the O’Donnell Hall game room at the time of the officers’ arrival. The student was cooperative and said he smoked outside of the residence hall and then returned to play video games. He surrendered a clear plastic vile containing a green, leafy substance and rolling papers. The student was taken into MPD custody, cited and released.
