So the announcement of the 2016 Olympic setting is finally almost here.
The announcement will either create an unprecedented amount of buzz and anticipation or a vat of disappointments and “What ifs?” But let’s forget the latter possibility and take the former by figuratively joining our hands and minds in hope.
Let’s hope because if the highest echelon of athletes from around the world do travel to Chicago in the Summer of 2016, all Midwest residents will have a chance to be a part of the most epic event the city has had since the first World Fair, which can still be seen in the landscape and architecture of Chicago.
So Chicagoans, I ask you this: Where are you going to celebrate if the Olympic Committee decides to go for the Chica-gold? (patent rights pending…)
