The Golden Eagles had several impressive performances over the course of the two-day competition.

Junior Mark Kopecki and freshman Nick Szczech turned in quality mile times to grab the top two spots in the event.,”The Marquette track and field team spent Friday and Saturday in Bloomington, Ind. for Indiana University's Indian Relays Open.

Junior Mark Kopecki and freshman Nick Szczech turned in quality mile times to grab the top two spots in the event. Kopecki took first with a time of 4:16.08 and Szczech placed second with a time of 4:16.60.

Several more athletes qualified for the Big East Championships at the event, including seniors Kaitlyn Chambers and Cassie Peller in the 800m and sophomore Rachel Thiel in the shot put.

Next up for the Golden Eagles will be the Notre Dame's Mayo Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
