At 2:37 p.m., a 19-year-old female student reported that an unknown person removed her unsecured, unattended iPod Classic estimated at $350 from a tanning booth in a business in Campus Town West. The Milwaukee Police Department was contacted.
At 4:30 p.m., two students, a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, observed an unidentified suspect forcibly enter a student's secured, unattended car in the 1900 block of West Wells Street causing an estimated $350 in damage. The suspect fled without any property after seeing the two student witnesses. MPD assistance was declined.
Nov. 18
At 3:23 a.m., a resident assistant reported that an unknown person vandalized university property in McCormick Hall causing an estimated $750 in damage. The RA discovered a four-foot-by-two-foot permanent marker drawing of a male reproductive organ in a west staircase. Facilities Services was contacted.
At 3:52 a.m., six students acted in a disorderly manner in the 900 block of North 17th Street. The students were standing on a second level balcony when they began throwing beer bottles and other miscellaneous garbage to the ground. MPD took a 22-year-old male student into custody when he became abusive toward MPD. The student was cited for littering, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. The other five students will receive disorderly conduct citations through the mail.
Nov. 19
Around 11:40 a.m., a two-car collision occurred at the intersection of North 11th Street and West Wisconsin Avenue, halting traffic for several minutes. MPD, as well as an ambulance, reported to the scene and responded to minor injuries. Both cars were towed from the scene around 12:15 p.m. An MPD officer on the scene said the intersection is definitely "confusing with the construction." According to a construction worker on the Wisconsin Avenue bridge, the construction in that area should be completed by November of next year.
