Head coach Pati Rolf switched things up a little on Sunday at West Virginia. Sophomore Caryn Mastandrea got the start at setter. Marquette lost 3-2 (23-30, 27-30, 30-25, 30-23, 13-15), but Mastandrea did not disappoint as she tallied career highs in assists (50) and digs (12) and was just one kill shy of a triple-double. Senior Jenn Brown added 16 kills and a .394 hitting percentage.
With the losses, the Golden Eagles are 8-12 (5-5 Big East), putting them in a three-way tie for eighth place in the conference.
