A house occupied by three students in the 2000 block of West Michigan Street was burglarized last Wednesday after the occupants left for Thanksgiving break.
The students said they mistakenly left the front door propped open, but reported that they thought they had locked the door before leaving.
The suspect entered the house between 6:22 p.m. and 6:32 p.m and took two leather purses, a Hewlett Packard laptop, a flash drive, a book bag and assorted DVDs. The estimated total of stolen property is $2,100, according to the Department of Public Safety.
One of the residents reported that the suspect had not taken any of her property.
DPS cameras caught the suspect, a male, on tape leaving the house, but have not yet located him.
