The Milwaukee Police Department contacted a student in Schroeder Hall for providing false information regarding his date of birth for a citation he was issued on Nov. 7 at Angelo's Pizza Restaurant. At 2:20 a.m., he admitted to MPD that he was currently intoxicated and MPD issued him an additional citation for underage drinking. The student also admitted that he had alcohol on his person at the time, and had used a false identification card to purchase it.
Nov. 14
Between 11:07 and 11:17 p.m., two students were cited for theft after fleeing from a taxicab without paying the full fare. The cab driver flagged down a Department of Public Safety officer and reported that he was robbed by the students, and claimed they had used a weapon to demand $400 from him. MPD located the students in their home and searched for a weapon. The students denied the robbery and after further questioning, the driver admitted to filing a false report. MPD took the driver into custody for committing a felony.
Nov. 16
A student reported that another student punched him in the mouth after a verbal confrontation in the 1600 block of West Wells Street. The victim left the scene and reported the incident to DPS. The suspect was located the following day in McCormick Hall and issued a battery citation by MPD.
A student reported that an unknown person broke into her car, parked in the 800 block of North 14th Street, and removed her radio, CD player and CDs. The estimated damage to the car is $500 and the loss of property is estimated at $280.
