If you've missed the sounds of musicians such as Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Eric Clapton or you miss the classic rock sounds of the '60s and '70s or if you're just looking to find something that you've never heard before, then you'll enjoy The Luke Mulholland Band and its recently released album titled Further.
The album is upbeat and all of the songs have a positive spin on them, revolving around the theme of love. It provides its listeners with a mellow tone and lyrics that are encoded with emotion from the singer's personal life. It details his relationship with a girl that is very special to him.
His voice is such that it can only be described as classic. When listening to his album, one would never guess that he is only 19; his voice is well developed and his sound is well beyond its years. It is easy to see that the band has worked hard for the last five years to get to where they are now. It has paid off for them.
The Luke Mulholland Band, out of Canada, consists of Luke Mulholland as lead vocalist and lead guitarist, Barry Murray as bass guitarist, and Karim Moussa as drummer.
The band released its first album titled Road Home in 2004, and since then has released additional albums titled Love Strength Regret (2005), Mulholland Drive (2006). The band has opened for big-name classic rock icons April Wine, Lover Boy, Trooper, David Wilcox, Chilliwack, Goddo, the late Jeff Healey, Mountain, James Cotton and Bon Jovi on tours in Canada and the United States. His largest performance was in Burlington, Ontario to a crowd of 10,000.
The album is one worth taking a listen to. Even if you're not a fan of classic rock, you may still find this being an album, and a band, that you grow to like.
