Two juveniles were involved in a pair of armed robberies on Friday evening, according to the Department of Public Safety.
At 11:30 p.m., DPS officers were flagged down by a 21-year-old man, who has no Marquette affiliation, in front of the Union Sports Annex. The man informed them he had just been robbed.
The man told DPS two male juveniles approached him. One boy had his hand in a front jacket pocket. They told the man they had a gun and demanded his property. The man turned over $40 in cash and a cell phone valued at $150.
DPS immediately located and detained the suspects outside of Open Pantry, 824 N. 16th St. The Milwaukee Police Department was contacted and took the suspects, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, into custody on a charge of armed robbery.
MPD informed DPS that the two were suspects in another armed robbery that occurred within minutes of robbing the 21-year-old man. The victims are believed to be a 20-year-old male student and a 21-year-old female student.
DPS has not yet met with the student victims.
No weapon was found on either juvenile.
