My Brutal Language has surprisingly meaningful and heartfelt lyrics for such a hardcore band, like "I'm a liar and you're a saint/feels so good being the one they hate/and I'm a sinner so let's all pray/I wouldn't want it any other way."

The possibilities that exist for a metal band with a female vocalist are innumerable, but My Ruin did not take full advantage. My Brutal Language fails to capture the listener's attention.
