The Marquette club frisbee team competed in the Lake Superior sectional of the Ultimate Players ultimate frisbee tournament Saturday and Sunday at Wisconsin-Whitewater. The sectional consisted of six-team round robin play Saturday and a single elimination seeding round Sunday.

The Golden Eagles were playing for a bid at the regional tournament in Minnesota. After a full day of play, they were seeded No. 2 behind Madison. They eventually lost to the Madison "B" team, 15-10 in single elimination play on day two, but they had already played well enough to claim a No. 4 seed, in part because of a 15-8 victory over Lawrence in Sunday's first round.
