Going into the last round of play, the Golden Eagles were in 10th place. The team's score of 287 (-1) in the final round was the second best team score next to champions TCU and the fifth best round in the whole championship. For the tournament the team had a score of 901 (306-308-287), 37 strokes above par.
Freshman Ted Gray (73- 78-72), the team leader after the first two rounds of the tournament, shot par on the last day to finish with a tournament score of 223 (+7), the 26th best individual performance. Gray was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team and led all golfers in the tournament in par three scoring, shooting two-under-par. Marquette as a team was fourth overall on par three scoring.
Junior Steve Sass (76-82-75) shot 233, +17 for the tournament, and junior Joe Weber (81-77-76) shot 234, +18.
TCU continued its dominance of the C-USA tournament and claimed its fourth title by dominating the field over all three rounds of play. The Horned Frogs have won the C-USA Conference Championship every year since joining the conference in 2002.
TCU finished the tournament with a team score of 841 (-23) beating the next closest team, Charlotte, by 26 strokes. Tulane University took third place with a score of eight-over-par.
