Lawrence Morawski, who was driving a Ford Escape SUV involved in the accident, said he was heading east on West Wells Street when a Pontiac Grand Am traveling north on North 16th Street ran a red light at the intersection and hit him.
The hood of the Grand Am, which was parked about 30 feet away from the SUV on the shoulder of West Wells Street facing east, was smashed in.
It is not known how many people were riding in the Grand Am. A man who said the car belonged to him would not comment about the accident.
Morawski received some cuts on his left arm in the accident.
An accident report had not been filed with the Milwaukee Police Department as of Monday.
The accident occurred just feet away from Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shop, 1532 W. Wells St., where a car crashed into Saturday night and injured four Marquette students and the driver, who was not affiliated with the university.
