The Department of Public Safety was the first to arrive on the scene.

"I had the green and was going north on 16th," said Alberto Mendoza, the driver of the Toyota Celica that hit the Accord in the intersection.

The crash caused the Accord to crash into a white Lexus ES 300 parked on North 16th Street in front of Walgreens.

The Milwaukee Police Department was called.

An MPD officer at the scene said both drivers would probably receive tickets.

The driver of the Accord and the owner of the Lexus had no comment.
