It starts off with the keyboards of the opening track, "Living Dead Beat," and turns into a powerful guitar-driven melody. The entire CD is filled with head-banging energy that never stops or slows down.

Overall, Are You Dead Yet? is a typical hardcore rock album. It's a good CD to listen to when you're pumped up or feel like getting crazy.

Most metal-heads should enjoy the album, but outsiders of the genre will most likely find it difficult to like. Children of Bodom hits up The Rave in Milwaukee Nov. 14.
