The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said a museum board committee reviewed the figures at a closed-door meeting Tuesday showing a deficit for 2005 that likely would mean the net worth was a few million dollars in the red, rather than showing the small net worth projected previously.

The museum so far has spent $4.1 million of an emergency $6 million bank loan that Milwaukee County guaranteed over the summer.
