Instead, the man best known for his Oscar-winning turn as Ghandi takes on the role of Don Logan – a British gangster with an extensive vocabulary of four-letter words and an equally vile temperament who's looking to pull retired safe-cracker Gal (Ray Winstone) away from his Spanish villa for one last heist.
Gal, the aging "sexy beast" fond of Speedos, wants no part of it. However, Gal knows that nobody – absolutely nobody – says no to Logan in this strong directorial debut from Jonathon Glazer. A dark dramatic comedy, "Sexy Beast" remains reveting down to its bloody conclusion.
