Milwaukee police are investigating an incident near the intersection of 17th and State streets that witnesses said was a drive-by shooting causing a driver to crash into a tree late Friday night.
Police said that the victim, a 31-year-old man, was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries and that no one has been taken into custody.

I like how this is the first of the university’s acknowledgement of the incident, especially when it was just past Renee Row. At least notify students that they are or aren’t at risk for this type of incident.
