Girls Will Be Boys

While girlfriends have been sporting their love’s sweaters and jackets for decades, the trend is becoming more and more popular.

Aside from those baggy sweaters, shoes, pants, and shirts are all becoming a little more masculine. Personally, I’ve always been more tom-boy than girly-girl, and with the growing trend it’s becoming much easier.

Timberlands, Dr. Martens, and many more shoe companies have all been noticing the growing trend and started making more options for women. The popular brands have been girl-favorites for a while, but now there are so many more options to choose from. The big, masculine shoes look great with almost anything; jeans, cute dresses, shorts, and they work for almost any occasion. Another plus: they’re so much more comfortable than those tight flats in the back of your closet.

As for clothes, boyfriend and harem pants are popping up everywhere. The comfy and loose alternatives are great to change up a classic #ootd. Harem pants are great for warm summer nights and the different colors and prints make it easy to mix and match with almost anything.

And then there’s the classic flannel. I truly believe every single person should have at least one comfy and warm flannel in their wardrobe. They’re a closet staple and work in so many different situations that it’s almost required to have one. The comfy top can be used as a jacket, shirt, blanket… anything.

These boy-inspired articles can sport-up a girly outfit or just make a little-to-fancy outfit a little more casual.
