As the end of March is near, many of us inevitably want spring to arrive. It’s time to shed the coats and start wearing pieces that are light and refreshing. Spring is all about looking fresh, youthful and bright. As spring draws near, I am looking forward to seeing intricate and fun prints and colors.
My main inspiration for spring style is Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2013 Ready-To-Wear collection. The colors are very rich, bright and lively. After a long and drab winter, I would imagine that many of us students want to walk around campus feeling rejuvenated. Bright clothes can do that.
The collection was inspired by Sicily. The collection was meant to portray a fun, flirty and youthful woman going out for a beautiful day at the beach or a vacation. Well, we Marquette students are not there yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t liven up our wardrobe with these colors and prints. These looks can spark inspiration for your spring style. Trying to emulate the top designer’s creations can get you ready for spring and summer. Towards the end of the year and into summer, I hope to recreate these looks and gather inspiration myself!
