Paint positioning, ball movement critical for women’s basketball’s Wisconsin matchup

After a tough loss to #7 Oregon State 65-58, Coach Carolyn Kieger preached two major adjustments needed for MU’s next matchup against Wisconsin. Boxing out and positioning in the paint for rebounds was one key that can prove difficult, having a smaller front court (Shantelle Valentine 6’3, Erika Davenport 5’11, Ines Mata 6’1). In addition, sharing the ball and moving it around the key is also a must do for the ladies. In the OSU game, the Golden Eagles only had 5 assists. MU welcomes a gritty Badger team to the Al McGuire Center on Sunday Afternoon at 2 P.M.
